About This Spot

Stepping into Sajmola is like entering a serene retreat where the rhythm of the nearby river gently sets the pace of your visit. This relaxed, multi-level restaurant invites you to slow down and savor moments framed by stunning natural views. Whether you find your spot along the river’s edge or inside the villa-style dining rooms, there’s an inviting calm to the way the sunlight shifts through the Mediterranean-inspired architecture, welcoming you with warmth and quiet ease.

The atmosphere is rooted deeply in connection—to the land, the seasons, and the thoughtful preparation of traditional, locally sourced ingredients. Here, the menu is less about ticking off dishes and more about a shared experience of place and time. Imagine tasting tender lamb slow-cooked in clay pots, savoring rich homemade yogurts, or exploring the subtle layers of baked cheeses alongside fresh, vibrant salads made from wild greens. Every bite feels like a conversation with the surrounding landscape, uncomplicated yet full of character.

Hospitality at Sajmola mirrors the natural environment—gentle, attentive, and unhurried. Staff members move with a quiet care, creating a welcoming space without fuss, so you can focus fully on the simple pleasure of the meal and the view beyond. The water served here, drawn from a nearby spring, offers a refreshing pause, a reminder of the purity and freshness that define the entire experience.

Food and service were excellent. Really well priced for the food and ambiance. Views and being right on the river can’t be beat. Try the yogurt, the pork (gici), the peppers, the river fish… everything delicious.

Restaurant with the most stunning views. The food is delicious and comforting, made with locally sourced ingredients. Be sure to try the baked cheese and the slow-cooked meat mix. Don’t forget to ask for their natural local red wine, which was super good!

Traditional and BIO foods of the area. Super goat meat with clay pots. The proximity to nature must be mentioned. I suggest the row of tables by the river. Desserts are served only in certain seasons. I really like the style of the building as a villa with Mediterranean or Greek architecture. The toilet is located on the top floor

Extremely beautiful scenery around the restaurant with a couple of levels of dining areas both indoors and out. Staff are polite, attentive and speak English. The water table served is taken from the spring which is really refreshing. We had traditional Albanian food that consisted of goat, with a multitude of fresh salads, yogurts, cheese and bread. Definitely recommend visiting when in the area.
